Simplifying celebrations through seamless event planning
Kutla is a mobile event platform designed to simplify weddings and celebrations by bringing planning, live streaming, and gift management into one experience. I worked as a freelance product designer and worked directly with the client to define the MVP and align the product vision around connection, joy and ease of use.

INTRODUCTION
“How might we make wedding and celebration planning simple, collaborative, and enjoyable for everyone involved?”
HMW Statement
PROBLEM
Planning weddings and celebrations is often overwhelming and fragmented. Scattered tools and miscommunication can turn what should be a joyful experience into a stressful one. Kutla addresses these challenges by providing a single, mobile-first platform that simplifies event planning, enables seamless guest communication, and unifies gift management, making celebrations easier, more connected, and stress-free for everyone involved.
ROLE
As a freelance Product Designer, I led the end-to-end design of Kutla’s mobile experience. My work spanned both strategic and tactical responsibilities, including defining personas, mapping user journeys, and creating user stories to guide development. I designed the information architecture and wireframes, crafted interactive prototypes, and developed a cohesive visual identity through custom iconography, illustrations, and branding. Additionally, I conducted usability studies to validate design decisions and iterated on solutions based on user feedback.
GOALS
- Simplify event planning through an intuitive mobile experience
- Enable real-time sharing and communication with guests
- Provide seamless gift management and wish list creation
- Deliver a visually cohesive, joyful brand experience
